Our purpose-built Performance Hall in midtown Toronto is now available for recording sessions, live captures, and audio/video projects.
Why engineers book the Performance Hall
The Performance Hall is a 41′ x 47′ space with semi-sprung hardwood floors and up to 1,965 square feet of open playing area once seating is cleared, room enough for a chamber ensemble, a small orchestra, a choir, or an intimate solo session. Its soundproof tech booth doubles as a natural control room, with sightlines to the floor and space for three to five people working sound, monitoring, and capture.
A Bösendorfer Concert Grand 290 Imperial, one of the largest and most resonant concert grands made, is available for sessions as an add-on.

(per session, tuning not included)Each recording day includes hall use plus 8 hours of on-site technician time ($500 base + 8 hrs x $33/hr); the inaugural rate applies a $100 discount through our first season at NEJPC. Alternate hours and add-on spaces (green room, rehearsal studio) are available by request. As part of our mission, our rates sit well below the market rate for comparable recording space in Toronto.

Supporting Canadian Arts
Nancy & Ed Jackman Performance Centre’s mandate, led by Tapestry Opera and Nightwood Theatre, is to support the performing arts in Toronto. Performing arts rentals are subsidized by a small percentage of commercial rentals as well as through support for the building of the space by the City of Toronto, Ontario, Heritage Canada and visionary donors. We look forward to providing a beautiful new and vibrant space in Toronto’s arts ecology.
This state-of-the-art facility features a rehearsal space, performance space, green room, and lobby.
